As we age, living independently can bring a new set of challenges. Perhaps even some of the day to day things you once did easily have become more difficult. We understand, and we are here to help you live the independent life you want.
If you are over age 65 and meet the government eligibility requirements, the Junee Community Centre can help.
We can offer a range of support options. You may just require short term assistance, such as after an operation or medical procedure. Or perhaps a recent health diagnosis means that you will require ongoing support on a more regular basis. We can offer help with...
- Determining eligibility for government-funded, aged care assistance
- My Aged Care referrals
- Sourcing appropriate housing or accommodation (for those who may be at risk of homelessness or eviction)
- Routine domestic tasks (cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, groceries)
- In home personal care and support
- Seasonal and regular home and garden maintenance
- Home modifications and repairs, including cleaning
- De-cluttering, project ‘clear-out’ cleaning, domestic organisation, and arranging items for donation & collection
- Social support
- Respite for loved ones
